When you want to enjoy a well-deserved holiday, visit your family over the festive season, have to go on a business trip, or face any other situation that keeps you away from your cat, and you want to know she is safe, cared for and closely monitored, we are here for you with our cat boarding service – EXCLUSIVELY FOR YOU, OUR LOYAL CLIENTS. We have worked hard to design, and keep improving, accommodation dedicated to our feline guests, making it safe, welcoming, calming and stimulating at the same time, so that they feel at ease, protected and as if on a holiday of their own.
Throughout their stay, your cats will be under the close supervision and attentive care of one of our vets, who will make sure that each cat's routine and rituals are followed exactly according to the notes and observations you give us in writing when they are admitted. We also encourage you to bring, together with your cat, her current diet (food), her own water and food bowls, any favourite toys, the bed she may never leave and anything else you know will remind her of the comfort of home. In this way, we aim to create surroundings as close as possible to home, to reduce the stress they might feel while away from their families.
What your cat needs to bring for admission to our boarding service
To make sure we have everything each guest cat needs, we recommend that you phone us a few days before bringing your cat to the Cats' LadyVet boarding service, so that we can go through her kit together. In general, it will include:
- Their own carrier
- The cat's health record
- A list of care instructions (meal times, how to feed, play sessions, etc.), the cat's habits and any special instructions (assessments/re-assessments, special grooming)
- Where applicable, the medication schedule and the current medicines
- Water and food bowls
- Their current food
- Their own litter, if the cat uses a particular kind
- Favourite toys and bed.
Welcoming, calm, relaxing surroundings – a well-deserved cat holiday!
Our accommodation has a variety of accessories and play structures that each cat can use as she pleases, depending on availability, and that the medical staff, time permitting, use to engage the cats in play, mental stimulation and exercise. The space is also equipped with humidity and temperature control, lighting in a range of colours and a sound system playing soothing classical music, all to give our guests a sense of comfort, relaxation and well-being.
Except when the spaces are being cleaned or the centre's veterinary work is under way, boarding cats are housed in generous room-style spaces (10–14 m2). As our accommodation is limited, we recommend booking as early as possible once you know your travel plans, to be sure of finding a place.
Special situations
If your cat needs treatment or any procedures, these will be followed and carried out strictly, and her progress will be monitored throughout her stay with us.
All our guest cats are weighed and clinically assessed as part of a daily routine, and any significant changes in body weight, appetite and toileting are monitored. If any problem arises with one of our boarding patients (such as not urinating/defecating, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, sneezing, weight loss, etc.), one of our vets will assess the patient immediately and will inform you as soon as possible of the current situation and the cat's medical needs, through the channel agreed at admission (phone, e-mail, text message, etc.). For such situations, and to avoid delays in providing appropriate medical care for lack of quick communication, when your cat is admitted to boarding you will be asked for your written consent in advance to the procedures and treatments needed in emergencies and special situations, so that we can act as quickly and effectively as possible to restore your cat's health.
Admission requirements for our boarding service
