At the beginning of 2017, Cats' LadyVet – Doctorița Pisicilor – Centre for Feline Medicine, or the Cats' Medical Home (as we like to call it and, indeed, as I believe the vast majority of our clients see it too), came into being out of the wish to offer cats a favourable, friendly and dedicated setting in which to receive veterinary care in a way that focuses both on the particularities of the species and on the individuality of each cat.
The cats' medical home is specially designed to offer comfort and safety to our feline patients and to make their human parents feel at ease, understood and appreciated. The close and harmonious relationship we build with our clients rests on mutual respect, honesty, warmth and active collaboration, with one purpose: the joy and satisfaction of having long-lived, healthy, loved and pampered cats. Only in this way can we form an unbeatable medical team made up of the veterinarian, the cat's parent and the cat.
We are deeply committed to giving our feline patients medical care in ways that help both them and their human parents feel as little stress as possible. Our approach to feline patients reflects our cat-first philosophy: we keep restraint to a minimum and thus significantly reduce their stress. To win our patients' interest and trust, we give them personal space and the time they need to settle in, and we engage them in activities designed to help them relax and feel in control – something especially important when working with a feline patient. By handling cats with gentleness, care and patience, we show them the respect they deserve for the whole time they spend in our centre.
Our clear passion for feline medicine and the feline patient, and our continuous professional development devoted exclusively to them, give us thorough, meticulous experience and expertise in every aspect of cats' upbringing, welfare and specific medical conditions.
Affiliated with the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) and the ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine), and continually adopting their high standards of excellence in feline medicine, we are dedicated and committed to meeting the full range of cats' unique needs in a veterinary setting devoted to them.
The Cats' LadyVet – Doctorița Pisicilor veterinary centre dedicated to cats was conceived, and has built its professional philosophy and the quality and conduct standards of its services:
- by fully understanding cats' special needs and thus making veterinary visits more pleasant for them;
- by knowing and applying gentle, empathetic and caring ways of approaching and interacting with cats;
- by having an appropriate standard of equipment to investigate and treat feline patients;
- by using, whenever possible, therapeutic products (medicines, nutritional supplements, foods, diets, etc.) formulated specifically for cats;
- by designing care and/or treatment plans for each feline patient individually, according to their individual characteristics (personality, lifestyle, each cat's particular sensitivities, as well as the availability and means of the cat's parents);
- by maintaining a high, up-to-date and continuously improved standard of hospitalisation conditions and medical care for hospitalised cats.
