Dr Rocsana Timotin

In 2005 she graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest and began practising as a veterinarian in companion animal clinics. Through her clinical work and further study in continuing education programmes and workshops in Romania and abroad, she has gained skills and expertise above all in feline medicine, but also in:

  • Ophthalmology
  • Dermatology
  • Neurology
  • Endocrinology
  • Laboratory medicine
  • Thoracic and respiratory medicine
  • Integrated diagnosis and management of feline patients' conditions
  • Obesity and associated conditions
  • Companion animal internal medicine
  • Emergency medicine and critical care of the feline patient

She is currently taking the advanced feline medicine courses of Improve International – International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS), which give her access to the latest clinical and surgical knowledge and procedures for the feline patient, working towards the title and level of training of Advanced Practitioner in Feline Medicine.

In 2017 she founded Cats' LadyVet – Doctorița Pisicilor, the first veterinary centre in Romania dedicated to the care and health of cats, where she is the principal veterinarian.

She is a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), through which she takes an active part in clinical studies and research in feline medicine, behavioural health and welfare.

When she isn't being Doctorița Pisicilor, she is a wife, the mother of three children (Letiția, Luca and Roua) and the servant of four cats: Bibi, Blitz, Pișco and Flo.

She describes herself as completely and hopelessly in love with cats, to whom she is truly devoted; she is passionate about mysticism and the history of religions and about travelling to places with a strong spiritual charge, and she is addicted to books, sweets and flowers.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
